Christian moms have it together all the time, right? We’re always patient with our children, loving wives to our husbands, and our homes – well, we could give Martha Stewart a run for her money!

If you’re the mother of young children, you know this couldn’t be further from reality. Christian moms struggle every day with feelings of weariness and of being overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done and the fact that there just isn’t enough time to do it. And yet, ask any bedraggled mom with bloodshot eyes what the greatest joy in her life is, and it’s very likely that her face will light up when she says it’s her children.

These are the exact feelings two North Texas sisters have evoked with their musical tribute to children and motherhood in their new CD titled, Hold You, Mommy. The sisters, Laurie Hilliard and Sharon Autry, who call themselves 2MOMS, are real-life mothers who draw on their strong Christian faith to create music to inspire moms in their daily journey, offering hope and understanding in what can often be a stressful role.

A 28-year-old mother of one with another baby on the way, Sharon knows that time is the biggest obstacle to most moms. She says, "Moms don’t often have time to sit down and read a book, but listening to encouraging music during their daily routine is a very real possibility."

Listen to Laurie’s and Sharon’s CD and you’ll find heartfelt songs like the title cut, "Hold You, Mommy," which was inspired by Laurie’s own son, Alec. Laurie states, "My son, like so many children, often got his pronouns mixed up. When he wanted me to pick him up, he would hold his tiny arms up to me and say, ‘Hold you, Mommy’ instead of ‘Hold me, Mommy.’ It was so endearing; it touched my heart, and our first song was born!"

The album covers an array of musical sounds, ranging from ballads to fast-paced and upbeat selections. It also includes an arrangement of the timeless children’s classic, "Jesus Loves Me."
